Antaira Technologies’ STF-401C industrial serial-to-fiber converter series is designed to protect connected serial equipment from surges, spikes, and electrostatic discharges carried on the serial cable to the fiber optic cable.

The STF-401C series secures asynchronous RS232, RS485 or RS422 serial data transmissions over EMI resistant fiber at speeds up to 1024 kbps with distance extension up to 2 km in multimode fiber or up to 30 km in single mode fiber models. With its Compact Size design, the STF-401C is a perfect solution for either point-to-point, or half duplex single ring topology serial fiber daisy chain network applications.

Applications for the STF-401C series include industrial manufacturing in factory automation, remote sensing and signaling, and process control automation applications like oil and gas mining.
