CFE Media and Technology (CFE), the publisher of Control Engineering, Plant Engineering, Consulting-Specifying Engineer and Oil & Gas Engineering, is excited to announce a new online education opportunity with the expansion of its Virtual Training Week program.

Last fall, CFE hosted the inaugural event during the week of October 5-9, 2020. Across the five days, a total of seventeen sessions took place, including best practice sessions, expert panels, research results and application sessions. The topics covered included those such as digital transformation, motors and drives and predictive and preventive maintenance. The event earned over 2,500 unique registrants and over 6,000 total session enrollments.

Feedback for the inaugural Virtual Training Week event was overwhelmingly positive, with one attendee of the Day 4 application session stating, “This was a great course, and the Q&A was very well done.”

An attendee of the critical power expert panel on that same day said, “This was a wonderful course. The detail was organized very clearly and gave me new ways to explain systems that I regularly deal with.”

With the number of event cancellations still at a high due to continued concerns about COVID-19, CFE expanded the event to include two different weeks of education in 2021. The first Virtual Training week will take place from March 29 to April 2, 2021. The second will take place September 27 to October 1, 2021.

The topics for the Spring Virtual Training Week event are Control Systems, Motors and Drives, Plant Safety and Security, Critical Power Considerations, Effective Maintenance Strategies and Digital Transformation and Advanced Manufacturing Technologies.

CFE Media and Technology is committed to providing high-quality and relevant content to engineers to further their education and looks forward to doing so during the upcoming Virtual Training Week event.
