Yokogawa’s TDLS8000 tunable diode laser spectrometer is designed to make in-situ measurements of gas concentrations for the the oil and gas, petrochemical, electric power, and steel industries. The TDLS8000’s laser module includes a reference cell board designed to improve the reliability of absorption peak detection, which is an important step in the spectral area method. The receiving unit employs a new auto gain function that can optimize detection sensitivity depending on the measurement object. Increasing the signal-to-noise ratio improves the reliability of measurements taken in applications with varying levels of particulates. The TDLS8000 comes with a 7.5-in. LCD touchscreen and is designed to make setting parameters easier and more intuitive. Applications for the TDLS8000 include measuring O2 concentration in fired hearts, measuring ammonia concentration, and measuring trace moisture in hydrocarbon and corrosive gases.
